Karen & Nico

Karen & Nico chose to get married at the beautiful Kew Gardens in London, which has always been one of my favourite venues.

Karen looked so elegant in Jenny Packham, as she walked in to the ceremony. The Bride & Groom were so very happy and overjoyed when they saw each other, as she walked down the aisle.

They chose the most unique detailing for their wedding and the tables of the wedding breakfast were adorned with pineapples… They looked amazing and so original… And I was impressed to hear they had made the trip to Covent Garden Flower Market to buy the pineapples that week… Such a great idea and a little nod to their travels around more exotic climbs.

‘THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! The link to our photos is without a shadow of a doubt, the best email I have received, EVER!

You are incredible. You have caught so many of the little moments - both of Nico and I, and, just as importantly, of all our wonderful family and friends. I love every single picture. Thank you…I have had a little moment to sit and look through all of the photos by myself. I just wish Nico could be next to me right now to relive the day… Instead he is otherwise engaged, mid-race, somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic! He will be so sad to miss this moment.

I love that they are so relaxed and there are so many of silly laughing and fun. I am very impressed you caught Nico smiling on so many occasions too - very unusual for a photo of him! I can’t wait to share these with my family tomorrow. For tonight, I’m going to relish the memories myself and think of NK bobbing along the Atlantic…. Bring on his arrival in St Lucia.

Thank you Lucy, Karen x’

Congratulations Karen & Nico, you are so very welcome…It was such a beautiful day xx

Amber & Alistair

Amber & Alistair had the most beautiful, intimate London Wedding. They chose to get married at The Guard’s Chapel at Birdcage Walk in London, as it was a very special place for Amber’s family and  her dear late father, Baronet Sir Nicholas Nuttal.

Amber wore the most elegant Amanda Wakeley dress, with her beautiful long hair down, in loose curls. They chose Rob Van Helden to do their flowers and he dressed the Chapel in gorgeous cream roses and eucalyptus and hundreds of candles.

After the most beautiful ceremony, the guests strolled through St James Park to the sound of the Queen’s Piper, as the sun went down…We were joined by Biggles, their brand new puppy Daschund, who trotted along with Amber & Alistair, enjoying the delights of St James’s Park as he went.

When the guest arrived at Inn The Park they were greeted with hot cups of Mulled wine and delicious sandwiches and cakes. All the children played and the grownups laughed and chatted and ate scones with strawberry jam and sipped champagne.

After the most heart warming speeches, they cut their wonderful Wedding cake, that cleverly combined both their family Crests. Then their guests merrily made their way back through the park. Before Amber left, she throw her bouquet, which was rather masterfully caught by her step daughter, the very beautiful Amelie, who was absolutely thrilled with her catch!

In true London Style, Amber & Alistair headed off into night in a Black London cab as their guests waved them farewell… Such a beautiful, happy & love filled day. Congratulations Amber & Alistair, a more life loving, joyous, and deeply in love couple, there never was…

Claire & Joe

Claire & Joe got married at the wonderful Ham Yard Hotel in London.

Claire looked so elegant in her amazing Carolina Herrera Dress. I was so excited when I saw the dress, as it’s just so beautiful and modern and perfect and of course, she  looked incredible.

Their intimate ceremony took place on the beautiful roof terrace. Their guests sat on sofas and sipped champagne and watched the lovely couple say their vows, in the presence of their beautiful daughter Freya, who was a little bridesmaid.

The roof Terrace was filled with lanterns and succulents and delphiniums, all created by the brilliant Inspired Floristry and the lanterns glowed as they sipped champagne, as the sun went down over London.

The guests then headed down into a private dining room for the most lovely dinner and they danced the night away… One of my favourite weddings of last summer.

I was so touched to receive this little message from Claire about her Grand mother, who is the lovely lady in Blue with the bright sparkly eyes…

“Im just going through your photos again…They really are brilliant. It makes us so happy looking at them…My grandmother died last week. She made a huge effort to make it the first half of wedding and you took some amazing photos of her… You captured her beautifully. They are the perfect way to remember her….I just wanted to say another big thank you!”

Tammie & Rob

Tammie & Rob chose The Penthouse & Pavilion at The Dorchester for their gorgeous London Wedding. It is just the prettiest venue and perfect for the intimate ceremony, with just their closest friends and family.

Tammie wore the most incredible Oscar de la Renta dress with gorgeous Charlotte Olympia shoes. She looked totally glamorous and took everybody’s breath away when she walked in the room.

After a lovely drinks reception, all the guests headed to The Natural History Museum by Routemaster London Bus, where Tammie & Rob were greeted by more guests. Everybody dined under the magnificent Iconic Dinosaur at tables full of cream Roses, Hydrangeas and Herbs, all created by the brilliant florist, Paul Hawkins.

The Wedding Favours were made by Tammie’s lovely friend and owner of Tuck Box Cakes. He created hundreds of gorgeous, glittering Dinosaur cookies, all made lovingly, by hand.

I absolutely love these two. They were just so lovely to be around and I fell in love with their wonderful family too. It’s really quite a big deal to share such a special day like this…You end up feeling like you are part of it all and kind of sad it only gets to be for just one day.

“Just a quick email to say that we think you are a total mega star! Thank you so much, it was such a pleasure to have you there… I’ve just looked through them and I LOVE THEM! I’ve already cried. Thank you so much Lucy - you are amazing XXX”

Natasha & Jon

Natasha is one impressive lady. She was doing a masters degree in Psychology as she planned her wedding, with exams over the last few weeks in the lead up. She somehow managed to be so calm and relaxed about it all, which has to be said, is a huge achievement in itself!

She wore the most stunning Jenny Packham dress with my favourite vintage style Jenny Packham headdress. She looked like a film star and was an absolute joy to photograph.

The wedding was held at The Sunbeam Studios in West London which is a working photography studio but also makes the perfect wedding venue. Her flowers were a beautiful mix of blue, lilac and pink blooms created by my favourite Florist Scarlet & Violet and the Studios were dressed with wonderful Vintage furniture and family photographs.

Every single part of the day was perfect and a total treat for the eyes. Natasha’s taste is impeccable and her guests enjoyed the most beautiful, stylish, sunny London Wedding. This Wedding is definitely up there in my favourite top ten weddings of all time! Total perfection.
