Karen & Nico

Karen & Nico chose to get married at the beautiful Kew Gardens in London, which has always been one of my favourite venues.

Karen looked so elegant in Jenny Packham, as she walked in to the ceremony. The Bride & Groom were so very happy and overjoyed when they saw each other, as she walked down the aisle.

They chose the most unique detailing for their wedding and the tables of the wedding breakfast were adorned with pineapples… They looked amazing and so original… And I was impressed to hear they had made the trip to Covent Garden Flower Market to buy the pineapples that week… Such a great idea and a little nod to their travels around more exotic climbs.

‘THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! The link to our photos is without a shadow of a doubt, the best email I have received, EVER!

You are incredible. You have caught so many of the little moments - both of Nico and I, and, just as importantly, of all our wonderful family and friends. I love every single picture. Thank you…I have had a little moment to sit and look through all of the photos by myself. I just wish Nico could be next to me right now to relive the day… Instead he is otherwise engaged, mid-race, somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic! He will be so sad to miss this moment.

I love that they are so relaxed and there are so many of silly laughing and fun. I am very impressed you caught Nico smiling on so many occasions too - very unusual for a photo of him! I can’t wait to share these with my family tomorrow. For tonight, I’m going to relish the memories myself and think of NK bobbing along the Atlantic…. Bring on his arrival in St Lucia.

Thank you Lucy, Karen x’

Congratulations Karen & Nico, you are so very welcome…It was such a beautiful day xx

Amber & Alistair

Amber & Alistair had the most beautiful, intimate London Wedding. They chose to get married at The Guard’s Chapel at Birdcage Walk in London, as it was a very special place for Amber’s family and  her dear late father, Baronet Sir Nicholas Nuttal.

Amber wore the most elegant Amanda Wakeley dress, with her beautiful long hair down, in loose curls. They chose Rob Van Helden to do their flowers and he dressed the Chapel in gorgeous cream roses and eucalyptus and hundreds of candles.

After the most beautiful ceremony, the guests strolled through St James Park to the sound of the Queen’s Piper, as the sun went down…We were joined by Biggles, their brand new puppy Daschund, who trotted along with Amber & Alistair, enjoying the delights of St James’s Park as he went.

When the guest arrived at Inn The Park they were greeted with hot cups of Mulled wine and delicious sandwiches and cakes. All the children played and the grownups laughed and chatted and ate scones with strawberry jam and sipped champagne.

After the most heart warming speeches, they cut their wonderful Wedding cake, that cleverly combined both their family Crests. Then their guests merrily made their way back through the park. Before Amber left, she throw her bouquet, which was rather masterfully caught by her step daughter, the very beautiful Amelie, who was absolutely thrilled with her catch!

In true London Style, Amber & Alistair headed off into night in a Black London cab as their guests waved them farewell… Such a beautiful, happy & love filled day. Congratulations Amber & Alistair, a more life loving, joyous, and deeply in love couple, there never was…

Claire & Joe

Claire & Joe got married at the wonderful Ham Yard Hotel in London.

Claire looked so elegant in her amazing Carolina Herrera Dress. I was so excited when I saw the dress, as it’s just so beautiful and modern and perfect and of course, she  looked incredible.

Their intimate ceremony took place on the beautiful roof terrace. Their guests sat on sofas and sipped champagne and watched the lovely couple say their vows, in the presence of their beautiful daughter Freya, who was a little bridesmaid.

The roof Terrace was filled with lanterns and succulents and delphiniums, all created by the brilliant Inspired Floristry and the lanterns glowed as they sipped champagne, as the sun went down over London.

The guests then headed down into a private dining room for the most lovely dinner and they danced the night away… One of my favourite weddings of last summer.

I was so touched to receive this little message from Claire about her Grand mother, who is the lovely lady in Blue with the bright sparkly eyes…

“Im just going through your photos again…They really are brilliant. It makes us so happy looking at them…My grandmother died last week. She made a huge effort to make it the first half of wedding and you took some amazing photos of her… You captured her beautifully. They are the perfect way to remember her….I just wanted to say another big thank you!”

Maya & Christian

This summer, Maya & Christian invited me to her home town of Salzburg, Austria, to photograph their amazing three day wedding celebrations. It was all masterfully planned by the super talented Prime Moments Events, who were a total joy to work alongside.

I felt so very lucky to be there… As the founder of the super cool online fashion retailer Avenue 32, Maya has absolutely impeccable taste. For the ceremony, Maya wore the most heavenly, romantic, full lace Elie Saab dress, with spiked Christian Louboutin heels. Her maids of honour wore white & blue floral Vilshenko dresses, which were definitely the prettiest dresses I have ever seen. Sharma, one the loveliest and most talented makeup artists in the business, travelled with us to Salzburg to work her magic, making everyone look breathtakingly beautiful.

St Peters Cathedral, Salzburg, was decorated simply with cream roses and Hydrangeas, letting the glorious interiors work their magic. After a beautiful ceremony, their guests wandered the few steps to The Salzburg Rotary Club, where they sipped champagne, ate delicious bowl food and danced in the open air courtyard to the wonderful travelling band.

If all that wasn’t enough, later on that evening, their Guests reconvened at The Sound of Music’s Glorious Leopoldskron Palace. Guests looked out over the lake on the most beautiful of summers’s evenings. Maya wore a stunning Maticevski dress and of course, looked divine. Guests dined across three of the most opulent rooms in The Palace while the wandering band got many of the guests dancing on the tables. After their wonderful meal, guests then headed downstairs and danced the night away. We had the honour of working alongside the brilliant Film maker, Jeff Wood Visuals who made the most stylish wedding film for Maya & Christian.

The whole weekend was just incredible. It was so glamorous and beautiful but so fun and and relaxed… It was everything I think the perfect wedding should be.

Sojin & Ashley

Sojin & Ashley’s wedding, at the glorious Aynhoe Park, was just INCREDIBLE! It really was the most fun and just so beautiful. The amazing Fiona Leahy designed the whole Event so it was breathtakingly stylish, of course. She was also a guest, along with the dashing fashion Designer, Roland Mouret (Who made her dress) and the debonaire Christian Louboutin (Who made her shoes…both pairs)

The great and the good from the fashion world joined the couple for the most extravagant Studio 54 Party on the Friday night. The party concluded with a best costume contest, which included a catwalk, naturally and the winners were given huge inflatable golden crowns that lit up… SO much fun!

The wedding on Saturday was at the very civilised time of 5pm and guests reconvened on the lawns of the house dressed in their finery and sipped Champagne, whilst Sojin and Ashley got ready.

Roland Mouret helped Sojin in to the divine dress he had made for her. Then, she was surprised with Beautiful shoes made especially for her by friend, Christian Louboutin in the very same fabric as her dress. And if that wasnt enough, he also suprised her with another set of flats for the dancing later on. What a lucky girl.

I enjoyed this weekend so much and I don’t think I have smiled so much, witnessing such happiness all around. Ashley, the lovely groom was so overwhelmed with emotion during the weekend and he didn’t take a second of it for granted. It was such a pleasure to be part of.

After the beautiful Wedding breakfast, guests were ushered back into the main House by The Cuban Brothers. If you haven’t ever seen them perform, make sure you do. It was geniunely the most I have ever laughed in my entire life. I dont think words can descride how hilarious and wonderful these guys are. Honestly, if you get the chance to see them, do it.

They really set the mood for the most glamourous and exciting party for Sojin & Ashley, that went on into the night and into the early hours of Sunday morning. A more perfect weekend full of beauty, happiness, laughter and Fun, was never had… I was so lucky to have been there too. xx
